They have the best all you can eat oysters! They will cook your oysters how you want them. The service is great too.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Got the fried shrimp and scallops for lunch. They were almost too greasy to eat. Looked like they just threw them on the wax paper right out of the oil as they were sitting in a good bit of it. The red rice used to be great. What I got was dry and tasteless. My daughters had warned me that they went downhill. Now I know first hand.

Great place for sea food. All you can eat fried shrimp is excellent and VERY large shrimp. Highly recommend!

Not good at all everything tasted like burnt Grease

I normally frequent Gilligan's weekly, but after tonight's dinner, it will be a while before I return. The prices seem to have gone up and servings less. The fried scallops were so tough, they tasted as if they were prepared grilled and then they used the grilled scallops to then fry. The collards were so bad and unseasoned. The red rice tasted like 2weeks old leftovers. Parts of it had hard, raw-like rice in it. An employee said she are lunch and told them the rice was hard, yet hours later I still had to be subjected to it. I spoke to the manager who offered no consolation, so I told him we didn't want anything else.

I wish I could give this location a zero honestly. It was my first time here and my last I ordered the crab legs when I got them they had a spicy seasoning on the that was said in the menus so I sent it back to have it without seasoning. The server we had she didn't really come to our table that much we set at the table for about 20 minutes with both of our drinks left empty several times. While sitting at our table all we could hear was the servers and cooks cursing and arguing calling each others names while my server was sitting in a booth on her phone. I won't be back to this location I told the manager and she did nothing but said sorry spent almost 80$ for the two of us trying to have a good night and get to enjoy our night and couldn't do that at this location I wouldn't recommend going here at all to anyone

Shrimp & Grits, Gumbo, Oysters Rockefeller, Steamed Oysters, Popcorn Shrimp, Fried Pickles and Crab Cakes were all amazing when we came. The only thing we didnt like was the She Crab Soup, a little watery but our waitress Sabrina was awesome as well. Great place to stop in for some good seafood.

Definitely not worth the price for the quality of the food. Most rubbery calamari I've ever had in my life. Greasy crab cakes. Still hard fried green tomatoes. And you only got 4 tiny bacon wrapped shrimp for over $10...

Its decent, but the oysters Rockefeller for 11.99 could use more spinach and cheese and less breading . I've never had it not in the shell, well, there was a chunk of shell in a piece my husband ate. The grilled seafood platter was good but don't ask to replace the sea scallops with more shrimp it'll cost you 2.00. And don't get fries they put them on the plate to get soggy with the butter or whatever the juices are from the grilled stuff. The fried fish and shrimp are good says the hubby. The hushpuppies are also tasty. We go here every now and again and its hit or miss. But they do have a great server Jojo. She makes it great. We didn't get her this time( I dont remember who we had last night.) but we're gonna ask for her next time!

Food quality was poor, service was not the best. Restaurant was empty and our server was not attentive. Food was over priced. Definitely will not return to this Gilligan's.

The she-crab soup here is better than Hyman's new sherry loaded mush. Sorry, gotta taste the crab!

Food was delicious and the service was amazing. The hush puppies were the best I ever had. The shrimp was tender and juicy. I ordered the broil pot and never got to finish it so much food and great value for it. They dont skimp on anything in the broil pot. Our waitress was the nicest and professional and quick she wasnt annoying and in our face the entire time but she gave us just enough attention to be attentive to our refill or customer service needs. Will definitely be back to this place when we come back to town.

Great food. Great service. Nice atmosphere. Reasonable prices. I wish I lived near here so I could visit more often.

Food was fabulous and staff was pleasant

Had to wait as they were short staffed, sat in bar area, server was fantastic, crab legs were awesome! Hubby had fish and shrimp...also fantastic!

Terrible service, terrible food. Out of everything we wanted. Wait forever to see oysters maybe the size of a nickel that looked like they were growing stuff and picked from the garbage. Excuse was short staffed. I can deal with waiting for decent edible food. Not rotted raw oysters. Definitely black listed wont be back. If you want good seafood go to Charleston. 😡

Good seafood restaurant. I am gluten free. Their gluten free menu is ok. Service is good. The decaf coffee was instant, but still tasted good.

Very nice people..excellent service..i ordered fried flounder and got 3 big pieces...oh my was it delicious. Definitely go there if you get a chance.

It's a nice place for seafood. They offer fried and broiled seafood. They do offer land food. The portions are good and the food taste good. The She Crab soup is thick and rich. We all cleaned our plates.Service is friendly and attentive. The dining rooms gave a nautical theme. The the space for large groups and the couple as wellWe will go back again.

The service was slow but that's because they aren't busy in Sundays and we had 16 ppl in our party. The food came out in good time and it was nice and hot and it looked good and tasted wonderful. If your ever I. The Charleston area y'all should give this place a try

The crab cakes and fried green tomatoes here are delicious . Had a sandwich with both for lunch. They also have a crabby patty. (Burger with crabcake on it) The name itself made it worth a try for us. We had a very pleasant and enjoyable lunch. It wasn't a very long wait for a Sunday lunch either.

I ordered the coconut colada. The waitress already had a bad attitude. When I received my drink and got half way through I noticed mold in the lining of the coconut. She offered to make me the same drink again in which I declined because you wouldn’t know it has mold until u drink some. I notified the manager, he changed my drinks (which I refused to drink or eat anything at that point because of sanitary purposes) and my pasta was so cold the butter wouldn’t melt. I have pictures and wish they gave me the option to upload. Nevertheless I still got hit with a $90 bill for drinks I didn’t drink. Waste of time and money

Went in a few weeks ago and I sat at the table for 30 minutes after being seated by the receptionist. Several waitresses walked by and made eye contact with me and my other guest, but no one ever approached us. NO ONE. We eventually left because we were never greeted and we were very thirsty. Food is great, but I can't handle the horrible service.

I absolutely look forward to a family dinner at Gilligan’s when I’m home. During oyster season it’s my number 1 pick. I live in a land void of water, hushpuppies and good sweet tea. Gilligan’s is my first choice when I’m in town.

Casual atmosphere and friendly staff. Ordered some take-out and everything was perfect. Food was hot and tasty. I'll be headed back for dine-in soon.

Fried the flounder with the skin on, lots of hard pieces in the collard greens, corn on the cob was awful and seemed like it sat out for a few hours.

I called at 1pm today to confirm they had all you can eat oysters and the person on the phone said yes and asked me if that's all. We arrive at 340pm and there is a sign at the front stating they are closing at 4pm..manager pretty much didnt care so be careful they close early without advertising or letting you know when you call .

The service was great and the food was delicious as always. We have gone numerous times and always enjoy ourselves. I like their shrimp and grits or the grilled chicken. The kids popcorn shrimp is a large portion. The calamari is a great appetizer.

First time here for seafood on a Friday night, no crowd or wait. We had the shrimp dip appetizer which is served with captains wafers crackers, individually wrapped, alittle pricey for the small serving. Husband ordered the seafood trio which consisted of shrimp, scallops and mahi mahi (broiled and boiled), all very good. He also had the she-crab soup which he said was very good. I had their seafood special which consisted of salmon, a crabcake and shrimp. The salmon was very bland but the other two were great. Our server, Sabrina, was excellent!

We are about to see how this place is. We will let yall know...UPDATE: Not bad amount of food for the price but it seemed frozen. The batter on everything made it all taste the same. Also the restaurant wasn't the cleanest. I have been told to try the one in West Ashley because they catch theirs daily. Once we try that location we will let yall know with a review for that location.

The food was really good all except for the Grits. I think that they may need a new recipe on how to make grits because that was the worst grits I had ever tried. More recent visit was much better.

This place had some of the best seafood I've ever had. My mother took my fiance and me out to celebrate my recent engagement, and I ended up being a bit more gluttonous than usual. The she crab soup, the hush puppies, the scallops, the fish, and whatever else i had was heavenly. We even got a free piece of pie due to the engagement. I don't know when I'll be in South Carolina again, but this place will be one of the first places i go when i find myself in that part of the country.

Food was not up to it's past quality. Something has changed! We are from IN. HUSH PUPPIES are still great. Not sure if we will return.

I visited another location a year ago when we came down and looked it up again because I remembered how good it was. And they didn't disappoint this time. Really good food and really good service. This will be our go to on every subsequent trip to SC from now on. The fried green tomatoes and crabcakes stacks are my absolute fave.

Food is always so good. Love the fried fish and shrimp dinner. They give you a lot. I get two meals out of one dinner.

I had been in the Monks Corner location many years before and food & service were awesome. That is why I chose to come to this location when staying in Goose Creek. The hush puppies were the highlight of the food. The rest I wasn't really impressed with. The shrimp was over cooked and most of the rest was a bit bland. I had to request most things that are normally standard practice to get in a seafood place.

I normally have great experience when I go to eat but this one topped the cake 😤I was meeting with some of my church members to have lunch. We were being seating by the manager. As we were being seated my 10 month old (walking) ran to the back of the restaurant and the bartender yelled out "Come get your child!" (Mind you we are the only guest in the place) Then she walks back to the kitchen. I asked to speak with the manager. He comes back and just stands there looking in my face. So I began to tell what happened as I begin the rude bartender begins to over talk me, so I listened as she explains her side. When she finished I excepted her apologies and let her know that was not professional of her. The manager didn't apologize for the employees behavior or try to make our experience any better. I will not be returning due to this experience 😡😠
